I am a human geographer and interdisciplinary social scientist. My research examines the migration and human capital dimensions of economic development, and the welfare of migrant workers. While all of my research is situated in a global context, my regional specialization is in the Middle East, where I have conducted empirical and theoretical research on the contemporary societies and economies of the Arab Gulf States.
