The lack of good migration data has long been recognized as an obstacle to understanding migration and developing an evidence-base for policy. The Global Migration Data Analysis Centre helps to improve the evidence base for migration governance and programming through data analysis, impact evaluation and development of new indicators. Since 2015, IOM GMDAC has released over 150 publications, which have been downloaded over 600,000 times.
