Mayra Abril Vázquez Cuéllar holds a BA degree in European Languages from the Dante Alighieri Institute in Mexico. She is a MA final year student currently enrolled in the Erasmus Mundus MITRA (Transnational Migrations) program. She has intercultural experience as an Au pair in the United States and Belgium. She has also completed courses on migration and intercultural studies from IOM and the European University Institute. Her current research focuses on the political populist discourse regarding immigration and its effects on public opinion.
