Maria Cristina
Profili
Senior Regional Migration Health Advisor, Migration Health Division, IOM Regional Office for the EEA, the EU and NATO, Brussels – Belgium
Dr Maria Cristina Profili is an Italian Medical Doctor specialized in Infectious Diseases with a Master’s Degree in Primary Health Care Management and in Health Economics.
In August 2021 she joined the IOM as Senior Regional Migration Health Advisor in Brussels. Prior she joined WHO in 1999. Her last duty stations were as WHO Representative positions in Jordan (2014-2021); Turkey (2009-2019) and Ukraine (2006). She has more than 25 years of international experience, mostly with WHO. She served 3 WHO Regions (EURO, EMRO and SEARO)of which 15 years at Country level and 7 years at Regional level, leading and managing assignments in complex duty stations. She also worked in Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina to manage health systems programs.
