Current Director for Migration statistics in the Demography and Population statistics Chief Directorate. My main responsibilities include the publication of research output related to migration. I previsiously worked as Chief Demographer for mortality, and have great interest in SDGs and how census and survey data can be disaggregated by migratory status. Recent projects are the production of a Migration profile report for South Africa; and the evaluation of administrative data sources for measuring migration.
