Over 20 years in the field of migration statistics and analysis. I currently head up the demography unit at Statistics SA which also includes other demographic processes. Co-chair of UN expert group on international migration statistics, advisor to GMDAC, member of the STG on migration to the African Union as well as structures within SADC in Southern Africa. Main interest is in the measurement of different forms of migration and statistical systems.
