PhD Candidate

Diana Rayes is a Syrian-American PhD candidate at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she is researching the impact of conflict and displacement on refugee and migrant health. Diana was formerly a Non-Resident Fellow with the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy, focusing on public health trends and refugee issues in the MENA region and has previous affiliations with the World Health Organization, the Syrian American Medical Society, the Lancet Commission on Syria working on the humanitarian response in Syria.
