Charles Ogolla is currently the Statistician at the Health and Social Development Division at IGAD Secretariat, where he coordinates and provides leadership in migration statistics activities in the IGAD region. His main responsibilities include; contributing to the formulation and implementation of the statistics programme on migration, including improving the coverage, quality and harmonization of migration statistics in the IGAD region. Furthermore, he is involved in providing substantive technical assistance, knowledge, and capacity development to implement the best practices for improving migration data in the IGAD Member States. Mr Ogolla is a member of the Expert Group on Refugees and IDP Statistics (EGRIS) and IGAD Region Migration
