Kolitha Prabash Wickramage
Dr Kol Wickramage is Global Migration Health Research and Epidemiology Coordinator, working with the Migration Health Division (MHD). He provides technical guidance on research and evidence generation across the three IOM health domains ranging from migrant and refugee health assessments to health action in humanitarian crisis and emergencies. A public health doctor, he worked with the World Health Organization from 2004 to 2009 in conflict and post-disaster health care before joining IOM. He has also completed a doctorate in public health and master’s in human rights law pertaining to forced migration and health. Since 2009, he has worked on a broad spectrum of migration health projects across many regions, ranging from leading health interventions for displaced populations following civil conflict, to Ebola Outbreak response, to supporting member states advance national migration health policy and action plans through an evidence-based, participatory, and inter-sectoral processors.
