The webinar aims to provide useful insights for consolidating data collaborations with the private sector for analysing and improving migration-related efforts. The speakers will mention the added value of engaging with the private sector for using big data and innovative approaches (such as forecasting and machine learning) based on the recent launch of the handbook Harnessing Data Innovation for Migration Policy: A Handbook for Practitioners, organised by the Big Data for Migration Alliance (IOM, The GovLab and EC-JRC). In addition, the webinar will address the challenges and potential solutions for keeping high ethical standards and securing data protection.
