We are pleased to invite you to the live launch of IOM GMDAC's new report How Countries Manage Migration Data: Evidence from six countries on Thursday, 14 April 2022 at 15:00-16:00 CESTWith migration data in the global spotlight thanks to processes such as the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration and others, this report provides a comprehensive picture of how “migration data systems” work in practice at the national level.

Through six case study countries, the report explores how far countries are making progress in improving migration data and the practical challenges and opportunities facing National Statistical Offices (NSOs) and other stakeholders. This first-of-its-kind international comparative study on migration data is based on interviews with stakeholders in Canada, Djibouti, Ireland, Jamaica, Republic of Moldova and Nigeria, including representatives from NSOs, line ministries and academia.

Join us via Facebook or LinkedIn, where Frank Laczko (IOM GMDAC), Elisa Mosler Vidal (IOM GMDAC), and Michel Poulain (Independent Consultant) will be discussing the report and its implications, moderated by Jorge Galindo (IOM GMDAC).
