Andi Armia Pratiwi

Andi is the Digital Communications Officer at GMDAC, where she mainly focuses on internal reporting, digital campaigns, and social media, among others. Prior to joining GMDAC, she worked at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) in Hamburg, where she was involved in the Erasmus+ project and research on comparative politics.
Andi holds a Master's Degree in Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Hamburg and she was awarded a fully-funded scholarship from Konrad Adenauer Foundation. During her studies, she worked at the Human Rights Working Group (HRWG) in Indonesia, where she focused on the issues of migrant workers' rights and protection at the ASEAN level. As part of her master's studies, she conducted research on transit migration and its consequences on the lives of refugees in Indonesia.
Furthermore, Andi is also interested in diaspora engagement, particularly with Indonesian and Southeast Asian diaspora associations in Germany.
