Andi Armia Pratiwi

Andi works as Digital Communications Officer, mainly supporting the Strategy and Communications Unit at IOM GMDAC in Berlin. Prior to joining GMDAC, she worked as Project and Research Assistant at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) in Hamburg, where she was involved in political science-related research and Erasmus+ related projects.
Andi holds a Master's Degree in Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Hamburg and received a fully-funded scholarship from Konrad Adenauer Foundation. During her studies, she did an internship at the Human Rights Working Group (HRWG) Indonesia, where she worked on the issues of migrant workers' rights and protection at the ASEAN level. As part of her master's studies, she did research on transit migration and its consequences on the lives of refugees in Indonesia.
She is also interested in diaspora engagement, particularly with Indonesian and Southeast Asian youth diaspora associations in Germany.
