SDG indicator 10.7.2 on the state of national migration policies

Migration is an integral part of the 2030 Agenda. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development contains a number of targets related to international migration or migrants. SDG target 10.7, which calls on countries to facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people, including through the implementation of planned and well-managed migration policies, is the most explicit migrationrelated target of the 2030 Agenda.

Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicator 10.7.2, “Number of countries with policies to facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people” was developed by the co-custodians United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to inform the global review of SDG target 10.7.
