Kristof Tamas was instrumental as Director during 2014-2018 in establishing Delmi, the Migration Studies Delegation, based in Stockholm, Sweden. He was previously senior adviser in the secretariat for the Swedish chairmanship of the Global Forum on Migration and Development, a Swedish national expert at the EU Commission, an independent research consultant inter alia at the Institute for Futures Studies in Stockholm, and a special adviser and later deputy director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice in Sweden. He has over 20 years of experience and expertise in international and global collaboration in the field of migration, with an emphasis on migration and development, and labor migration. His publications include Bridging the Gaps: Linking Research to Public Debates and Policy Making on Migration and Integration, co-edited with Martin Ruhs and Joakim Palme, 2019, Oxford University Press.
