Julia coordinates the Missing Migrants Project for IOM’s GMDAC office while also pursuing her Master of International Affairs at the Hertie School of Governance. Her work deals with data collection and identification of missing migrants worldwide. She has assisted in the preparation of IOM’s report on migrant deaths and identification, Fatal Journeys, and authored several GMDAC data briefings.

Before joining IOM, Julia ran a local non-profit in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated with a BA Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and will finish her current MA in International Affairs in May 2017.
