Daniel is a PhD student at the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP) at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and a member of the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) - on the move. After his undergraduate studies in Austria and the United States, he obtained a Master's degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Zurich, Switzerland.

The goal of his PhD research is to uncover mechanisms that lead to the discrimination of immigrants in modern labour markets and to assess the effects of labour market policies on immigrants integration into a host society.
