Ms. Melde has 10 years of experience in working on migration policy and data analysis at IOM. From 2010 to 2013 she was in charge of the research unit of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Observatory on Migration in Brussels, Belgium. Among many migration publications, she co-edited a publication on South-South migration, published by Springer.

From 2014 to 2017 she managed the major, EU-funded “Migration Environment and Climate Change: Evidence for Policy (MECLEP)” Project including liaison and coordination with various implementing partners and associates as well as co-editing the ground-breaking comparative report.

She currently coordinates the planned Global Migration Data Portal of GMDAC which aims to provide a one-stop-shop to better understanding of international migration data. She is also a specialist in migration governance and policy analysis.
